Colorbar Velvette Matte Peach Crush: Review, Swatches, Pictures

Hey Everyone,

I think most of you have tried Colorbar velvette mattes range. As I've read the reviews on blogosphere, i believe that the views of the people are comparatively different from one another. For some, it is a best formula in the budget brands and they are loving it whereas it has also disappointed some as they feel that it dries out the lips drastically and stains horribly. Well, what i feel for it.. Read on the Full Review..

My Take:
Velvette Matte range is a quite popular range from the house of colorbar and people are loving it lately. The range has a huge shade selection from pinks, oranges, corals, reds, nudes to browns. The range serves every skin tone. The range has 47 shades to choose from.

The formula is smooth, creamy and intensely pigmented. Glides smoothly on lips and doesn't tug. It does not bleed or feather. It has a pleasant vanilla faint which i like. Even the heavily pigmented lips can get a full coverage in the second swipe. One should have well exfoliated lips before wearing this as it may cling to the dry flakes on the lips as the formula is quite drying. Better option is to apply a layer of lip balm underneath. (I can't carry this formula without a lip balm). It doesn't settles into the fine lines but it  does emphasizes them after a few hours of application.
For the initial 2-3 hours it stays into a satiny finish after which it sits into a complete matte finish. As the name indicates, it looks velvetty matte on lips when freshly applied. It can survive for a good 7-8 hours without getting patchy and a slight fading even with heavy meals and plenty of sips of water in between after which it leaves a strong stain on lips which has to be removed with a make-up remover.
Though the formula mildly drying i still love it and would definitely recommend this to everyone. And yes, it does transfer to the cups but very slightly because the formula is bit satiny.

The shade Peach Crush is a gorgeous reddened orange shade with a hint pink in it. The shade would suit fair- medium complexions. Actually i felt that it appears different on different skin tones. On some, it looks more red than orange whereas to some it is more orange than red as on my mom, it looks like a rusty orange shade though she has very fair complexion. In-spite that fact, i think it is a MUST-HAVE shade from the range and i really really love it. It instantly brightens-up my face effortlessly and it is a pretty summery shade. Those who want to wear an orange lipstick and find it too loud to carry, this a good choice to try out.

P.S it looks different in different lightening conditions.

On Me:

It looks very lighter in pictures but it is deeper in person.

Pros:
Easy on pocket
Intensely pigmented
Glides smoothly on lips
Long staying power
47 shades to choose from
Doesn't bleed or feather
Doesn't settles into fine lines

Cons:
Very dry lips may not like it
